Two Traveling Angels....... Another Email worth blogging about!

I read my nieces blog and was inspired to use this email as a post. She works so hard and feels it gets her nowhere. I just want her to know that life is worth all the hardships as well as the wonders!
I love the tapestry analogy: when we look at our lives we see the back of the tapestry with all its knots and string hanging (because we just don't know everything and the whys that make up our life) but when God or our loved ones look down on us they see a Beautiful finished tapestry (because they see all the reasons and answers that make up our lives). That is what we have to look forward to when we get done with what God put us here to do.

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room.

Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem"

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen?

The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused.

The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die...

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.

"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife I gave him the cow instead.

Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every out come is always to your advantage. You just might not know it until some time later...

God's Blessings,
Sharon

Thankful Thursday

Collages
Thankful Thursdays are all about taking the time to appreciate all the little things or big things that actually went right during the week and not focus on what went wrong!
This theme is possible because of the inspiration of another blogger, Pam at http://pamperspective.blogspot.com/

1.  I'm so thankful... that both my girls are doing well in their new ventures.  I am a worrier, and I will always worry about them, but I know God is looking out for them.  Thank you Lord!
2.  I'm so thankful... that I have had wonderful visits with my family this summer and I am getting more starting this Sat. through the hunting season!
3.  I'm so thankful... that my Boo is having such a great time at daycare/pre-school!  He came home the other day with a leaf man that he made and a painting of Fall trees.  He is getting so big and I am so proud of him and his Mom... he can count to 5 now!

4.  And of course... I'm so thankful... for my hubby who forever puts up with me and vice-versa.
5.  I'm so thankful... for all of you who read my blog and leave comments... Thank you so much!
I know there is so much more to be thankful for, but I am going to leave it for now and get my house ready for more company!!  WooHoo!!!

What I've been up to... this summer

Playing and going for walks with my Boo!

Yellowstone Park!

Family and Dane's smoked ribs, Mmmmm!
Gunnar loves riding in the back... and Mom is small enough to drive!

Quading in the Big Horn Mountains (the most beautiful place on earth).
And then of coarse, Taking care of my Boo!  He is becoming such a Big Boy!  Talking up a storm, putting words together, trying real hard to make full sentences.  And best of all, he finally is calling me by name and he says his name... no more confusion between Gamma and Gunnar.  Phonetically he pronounces his name: Gungar, just sooooo cute!  He has my heart tightly clinched in his little fist and that is OK by me!

Donkey, The Boo, and My Beautiful Daughters

This sweet donkey was in my yard last week. Her name is Coca burr(not sure if I spelled that right), she is my neighbors and she decided she wanted to visit. I gave her celery and baby carrots and anything else that I could find ... Lol

Here, of course is my little Bug-a-Boo... he is getting really good driving his tractor.  I am so very happy that the weather is getting warmer and he can get outside and play!

And my oldest entered the the first annual Artini Festival in Cody AND WON!  She won the judges choice (the biggest prize).  Her martini was called the Tikki-tini.  It was good and I am not much of a drinker... Lol  She won that huge shaker that is engraved 2010 Artini Festival, The Best Mixologist and $150 dollars.  She entered on a whim but I guess it paid off.  Lol

And then of course, my baby, she went back to Ca for a month and is back but will be moving back permanently to Ca in about a month.  She is now engaged.
I haven't blogged for a while so I thought I would tell you a few things that have been happening around me.  And there was more that was going to be said in this post but the words are just not coming right now. Lol
