WhooHoo Another Award

This award was given to me by a wonderful writer and bloggy friend at http://theredheadriter.blogspot.com/

She is writing about a very sensitive subject right now that we all should pay attention too... Abusive spouses.

"This award is bestowed on to blogs that are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to six bloggers who must choose six more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award." I'm going to give this award to:

Lots of Family

Well they all got their deer and we had lots of family time!
We even got to go and have an old west picture done... Candace and Kyle (the only guy in the picture) had already gotten their deer so they got to be in the picture too... or it sort of happened that way! Lol
Gladeen was the tough Annie Oakley type, my daughter was the bottom of the barrel bar maid, I guess I was the floozy that was taking her booze for myself, Christy(the newest to the family)was the besotted bar maid for the only guy in the group and Roxanne was the prissy one in her uptown long dress and hat...Lol It was a lot of fun.
Candace and her deer... the biggest body and most meat out of all of them.

We got to go to Shell Falls a couple of times with different family members. Gladeen (my sister-n-law) took them about 3 times... I ended up being sick the whole time :( but I did make it with them one time. We also tried to go to Yellowstone but the roads were to icy and I am a chicken on bad roads.

Here is my great niece Jaelyn and my grandson watching Baby Einstein. Jaelyn could watch that whole show with out getting up once and she is just 14 months old... not my Boo though.

Jaelyn and Uncle Chuck. I love the way she is looking at him... she was very curious about his oxygen hose.

We had a full rainbow the last day... hard to see in this picture but it was beautiful!

A partial pile of the bedding that needed washed after they all went home... My cat Misty was in heaven!

And JoJo trying to keep me from doing all that wash... she lives to play!
Except for being sick, I had a wonderful two weeks catching up with family!
And now, hopefully, I can get back into my blogging... I miss it and the comments!

Thankful Thursday #8

Thankful Thursdays are all about taking the time to appreciate all the little things or big things that actually went right during the week and not focus on what went wrong!

This theme is possible because of the inspiration of another blogger, Pam at http://pamperspective.blogspot.com/

1. I am thankful ... that I was able to go to AZ for my nephews wedding. It was a double blessing because I got to visit with lots of family!

2. I am thankful ... that I just about have my house in order for all the company I will be getting starting on Fri. I will be picking up my beautiful niece and her boyfriend and my beautiful great-niece from the airport. Then her Mom and Dad (my brother Ted and sister-n-law Gladeen) will drive in from CA late Sat. afternoon. The next Sat. will bring another brother and his wife (Vern and Roxanne) with their son and his new wife (the wedding I just went too). Most of the work is done and it is almost time to just play and enjoy family!

3. I am thankful ... that my daughter went to the Doctor. I hope the med's make her feel better.

4. I am thankful ... that hunting season is here because it just makes my hubby so happy.

5. And as always, I am so thankful for my grandson Gunnar who makes my life full and tiring... Lol

First Snow of Fall

Here it is on Saturday... sunny, temperatures in the late 60's early 70's, and of course my Boo waving to the camera... Then this morning we woke up to a beautiful white world, you can't see it in the pictures but it is still snowing. Smells so fresh, I love the first snow of the season... makes me want to curl up next to the fire and read a good book (which I haven't had time to do in a long while) with hot cocoa or something hot to drink in hand.
Back yard. There was quite a bit more snow when I woke up but of course I didn't get the picture taken until a few minutes ago.

Looking out from my front door, the mountains look really pretty in the back ground and by the tree the grass is still green. Just pretty!
