CHAOS

OH MY GOSH!!! What a mess!!!

On the left will be my new built-in pantry, woohoo... on the right is what my kitchen looks like since I have no place to put all my food! There isn't a counter empty or my table for that matter... we ate left overs last night and ate take out grinders tonight. No way am I trying to cook without any counter space. Ugh!!! I am just about done with the primer coat and the hubby has to put up a few more shelves and then at least I can get the food off my counters. Yeah! It is so close to being done... thank goodness, or I might just go crazy... really crazy! Can't wait until he has the doors done etc.

And in the midst of it all I have a sick little girl (Locker, my Jack Russel). Doctors are not sure what is wrong with her.... In this picture she just got a bath and is snuggling up with Daddy. I just love my little fat girl. She has had pancreatitis off and on almost from day one, that is why she is considered obese. She has always been a sickly dog. Truly, she doesn't get any junk food and she can only eat the chicken jerky treats (the only thing that won't make her sick) and get only two half pieces a day.

Anyways, I have two more dogs to give a bath. Oh boy, lucky me!!! Lol

There are so many more who have made my life worth living.

I also want to give a BIG Thank You, on this Memorial Day, to all those men and women who serve our country and their families. Especially the families who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

All about the Boo!

Me and my Boo (Gunnar). Being a Gamma is the best. He is doing so many things, sometimes very frustrating but never boring!
And sometimes pretty hard on this 47 year old Gamma's bones.


This was so funny... he had me rolling on the floor. He loves the spray bottle... he just doesn't realize he needs to point it away from his face.

In this picture you can see the bottle spraying and his eyes are closed... he would jump every time. Way to funny... what a nice Gamma to just sit there laughing. Lol

Thankful Thursday #3

I am having such a hard time thinking. Here goes...

1. I am so thankful... that I had my mom as a Mom.
Since it has been Mom's week, I thought I would mention her... she was a big impact in my life!
2. I am so thankful... that I have a wonderful Aunt who can take care of my grandson when I have to go someplace.
3. I am so thankful... that I have two wonderful strong daughters who stand up for what is right in this world even if it means harm can come to them.
4. I am so thankful... that I have a roof over my head and a hubby who knows when I need a break.
5. I am so thankful... that I have some wonderful bloggers that leave such wonderful comments.
6. I am so thankful... for everything, period.

My Mom

Today is my Mom's Birthday...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MOM!!

This is her wedding day, she was 18 years old and her and my Dad eloped on that August day at the disapproval of both my Grandmas... Moms Mom didn't speak to my Dad for months.
To the right, quite a few years down the road, I was in High school when this picture was taken.

Mom died in 1999 on February 13 at the age of 59 from complications of cancer. I miss her everyday, even 10 years later. We always celebrated her Birthday and Mothers day at the same time.
She was my best friend and I still catch myself thinking "I need to call Mom and tell her ...." Then I remember. My favorite thing to do is dream of her... it is like we are getting to visit.
Anyways, this post is dedicated to her... I love you Mom!

What I've been up to...

Now it looks like this...

That wall will have built in cupboards and a pantry and that drywall on the ceiling well.. it is very heavy! But we finally got it up there and my Hubby filled in the screws and seams like a professional... I think he is a professional! He got all the electrical done as well.

In the midst of all this he has done a CAD job for his business and he built me a garden box. I am truly spoiled!



We have also planted some pine trees and have about 35 Evergreens we want to plant on the other side of the house as a wind break. Woo... still lots to do!

1. I am so thankful that my youngest (Dana) got home from CA safely.

2. I am so thankful that she also took her dog home. (we are down to 3 dogs now)

3. I am so thankful that I got my taxes paid and have a plan in place to make it easier next year.

4. I am so thankful that my Boo is feeling better. (those darn teeth)

5. I am so thankful that we have started the second phase of our remodeling. I can't wait until I have my kitchen back in order.

6. I am so thankful that my oldest is doing something about her doldrums.

I know there is so much more to be thankful for... but... the brain is just not working properly!
