Just want to say Hi!

I have been so busy, I haven't been able to get on here and spend the time like I want to...
First, we (my hubby and I) have gone up to the Big Horns quite a bit... it is so beautiful up there!
Second, the last two weeks I have been helping my daughter with all her yard work as part of her Birthday present. BTW, I got her a tea set from Naja Tea... you should check it out at It was a beautiful set.
Hopefully, I will be back in the swing of things before to long!

I Thought This Worthy of Posting

I received this as an email... thought I would post it!

"An Iowa boy

.... John Gebhardt works at the Cargill plant in Eddyville, Iowa.

Wouldn't it be fitting if this went completely around the world!.....

This needs to make headline news ... not some of the other junk that makes the news these days! Like the Rosie O'Donell war of words ... celeb weddings .... who's not wearing undies ... etc.

It's a tough, but heartwarming story ..... with a picture of John Gebhardt in Iraq.

John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head ... but they failed to kill her. She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing. He is a real Star of the war, and represents what America is trying to do.

This, my friends, is worth sharing. Go for it!! You'll never see things like this in the news. Please keep this going. Nothing will happen if you don't, but the American public needs to see pictures like this and needs to realize that what we're doing over there is making a difference. Even if it is just one little girl at a time.

Just Me and My Husband!

The last two Thursdays, my hubby and I have taken our quads up to the Big Horn Mtn's. He took me places I have never been (and I have loved the Big Horns for as long as I can remember). Here is some pictures...
The smell of the Pine trees... wonderful!
This is my hubby... that snow was so deep. The next week when we went up, a lot more had melted. We were over 9000 ft. in the area below where he is standing.

It is time to do some camping... I am so ready to get up there and stay at least a week!

On the 4th the town had a community picnic with games and such... Gunnar was to young or to little but no matter... he LOVED the slide.

He wouldn't let go of Papa during the fireworks! No way!

A Mom's Breaking Heart

When I was growing up my little brother and I fought like cats and dogs. I remember I was a Senior in HS and we had a doesy of a fight and I am talking physical... A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL! I think that was the last major fight. As you get older, you just learn your siblings and act accordingly. There has been words, but no real harm... just getting things straight!

My little brother is on the left and I am next to him.
Now my girls are 25 and 23 and I am wondering when they are going to realise this... they each have their own idiosyncrasies and they need to learn them and go on knowing that they still love each other (a mothers hope) no matter the conflict! Now my youngest was a challenge, but I do see her trying very hard to make the wrongs in the past right... but sometimes her temper truly does get the best of her... and it doesn't help that they work together. And my oldest, is having a very hard time letting go of the past.

This Mom's hope is that one day they can truly go forward... and be sisters who can know how the other is and go forward knowing there is always the love that surrounded them when they were growing up!

All you Mom's out there, know that this is the most important prayer you can ask God... that your children get along and love each other when they grow up!
