Perfect Little Snow Flakes

It is the small things that just amaze me!

These first two pictures were on my back deck.  We only got a small dusting last night but what fell were perfect little snow flakes.

And this last picture was in my front yard.  You can see even the really small ones were star shaped.

The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton

Such a good book! I would recommend this to everyone. The author weaves you through, back and forth from the early 1900's to 2005. I really like the way this author writes, she kept me enthralled in the book.
A mystery that makes you want to know the ending and yet you don't want it to end!


The House at Riverton by Kate Morton
"On the eve of a glittering society party, by the lake of a grand English country house, a young poet takes his life. The only witnesses, sisters Hannah and Emmeline Hartford, will never speak to each other again."

To me, another great read by Kate Morton! And again I would recommend this book of hers as I did "The Forgotten Garden". Her trademark seems to be the weaving back and forth through time. Another mystery to keep you enthralled and entertained. Read it, you wont be disappointed.

1.  First and foremost I am thankful:  for all of you who have left me comments... I am addicted to them!

2.  I am thankful:  that my daughter is finally going into a new phase of her life as a single Mom.  She is so strong and courageous.  She has single-handedly (without any help from the deadbeat ex) taken care of her house and home all by herself.  I am proud of her and her ability.  She is the Apple of her sons life!

3.  I am thankful: that my husband still has the ability to make me laugh until I cry!  And that will be a post.

4.  I am thankful: for my youngest daughter who has such a BIG heart and gives support to all around her.

A very good book. It is a sad story that turns out to be a very good read and happy. Anne Bartlett weaves a story that is seamless in its exploration of healing, grace, and the search for meaning, both within oneself and in the larger community.
