Donkey, The Boo, and My Beautiful Daughters

This sweet donkey was in my yard last week. Her name is Coca burr(not sure if I spelled that right), she is my neighbors and she decided she wanted to visit. I gave her celery and baby carrots and anything else that I could find ... Lol

Here, of course is my little Bug-a-Boo... he is getting really good driving his tractor.  I am so very happy that the weather is getting warmer and he can get outside and play!

And my oldest entered the the first annual Artini Festival in Cody AND WON!  She won the judges choice (the biggest prize).  Her martini was called the Tikki-tini.  It was good and I am not much of a drinker... Lol  She won that huge shaker that is engraved 2010 Artini Festival, The Best Mixologist and $150 dollars.  She entered on a whim but I guess it paid off.  Lol

And then of course, my baby, she went back to Ca for a month and is back but will be moving back permanently to Ca in about a month.  She is now engaged.
I haven't blogged for a while so I thought I would tell you a few things that have been happening around me.  And there was more that was going to be said in this post but the words are just not coming right now. Lol

Thankful Thursday #10

Thursday Comments
Thankful Thursdays are all about taking the time to appreciate all the little things or big things that actually went right during the week and not focus on what went wrong!

This theme is possible because of the inspiration of another blogger, Pam at http://pamperspective.blogspot.com/

1. I am thankful... that my baby girl made it to CA okay.  Also that she is on this wonderful new adventure... even though her Mamma misses her.

2. I am thankful... that my oldest baby girl misses her sister... there were times in their lives I didn't think they would ever love each other.  I am blessed!

3. I am thankful... that my job is going well.

4. I am thankful... for the time with my Boo (Gunnar).  Now that I am working, I don't get to see him as much.  He still loves his Gamma though!

5. I am thankful... of course, for the wonderful man at my side and that his hand is healing nicely!

6.I am thankful... for all of my bloggy friends who stick with me at this time of absences in my blogging.  Your comments are wonderful and the highlight of my day!

A Letter from my Mom / Mama Kat's Writers Workshop

Mama's Losin' It1.) Write a letter to yourself from someone who has passed on. (ie: parent, grandparent, famous person, friend, pet, etc)
(inspired by Untypically Jia)

This is the prompt I chose... It was 11 years in Feb. since my Mom passed away, it will be 6 years in Sept. for my Dad and 5 years in Aug. for my granddaughter Achaela.  All mentioned in the letter.
I know this sounds like a really sad prompt to pick, but it isn't.  I love talking about what a wonderful Mom I had and I love when she visits me in my dreams!

Hi Sweetie,
Just thought I would jot down a note for you while I was thinking about it.  First I want to tell you how wonderful it is here... you can't describe in words all the love you feel!
How are you?  It has been a while since I have visited you in your dreams and wanted to tell you that I am keeping an eye on you from up here in heaven.  BTW, you are doing a wonderful job with your kids and your grandson and of course, your hubby!  Achaela is doing great up here with Grandpa and I.  She wishes she could give you a big hug and a kiss... and she does on those occasions when you are feeling down, and so am I, so remember that!  She does miss her Mommy so and her little brother.  Make sure you tell Candace that and tell her that her Grandma comes down and gives her hugs often.  She is doing such a wonderful job with that great-grandson of mine!
I so love what your hubby is doing with your kitchen and I really love that office/library with all the built in shelving and your desk that he created for you.  You are blessed with such a wonderful man!  So remember that too!
Tell Dana to be careful on her new venture and that I hope she is happy moving back to California.  She has a really nice young man who truly cares about her.  I am so happy for that!
Oh Sharon, I miss getting to talk to you everyday, but know that prayers of love are falling down on you from all who love you up here!!
Have fun with that new job of yours and MAKE sure you take care of YOU.  I know how you put everything before YOU and stop taking care of what YOU need, so your Momma is telling you (in no uncertain terms) Take Care of You!
I love you and will visit you soon in those dreams of yours. Have the coffee ready so we can sit down and have a nice long chat!
Love, Mom

P.S.  Give Candace and Dana a BIG hug and kiss from their Grandma!

My Baby is Moving Back to California (sigh)

Here is my Baby!

Here she is at work and this is her last month.
She is my June baby... a true Gemini.  Very loving and forgiving but with that wild side.  She has givin me a lot of wrinkles ups and downs and sleepless nights but she is a love and I wish her all of God's blessings on her new venture.  She is leaving at the end of this month and will be back in May to get all of her shit stuff... Lol, and then she will be a Cali girl again.  I will miss my little girl, but this is where she wants to be!  She just has to come and see her Momma often and of course, I will be knocking on her door a few times a year!
Here she is with Auntie Gla... both their shirts say La De Fricken Da.
They are both very bad girls! Lol
